The Saturn SL2 was produced from the years 1990 to 2002 in the United States. The best way to tell if the fusible link in a 1999 Saturn SL2 is fried is that there will be no 12v.
It is between the alternator and starter, on the firewall side of the engine, nearer to the passenger side of the car.
The Villager does not use fusible links that I am aware.
Fucible de luses delantales
Overload or dead short to ground
Probe the circuit(s) containing the fusible link(s) on both sides of link with a multimeter. You will be able to easily see whether there is continuity or not, an absence of continuity indicates a probable blown fusible link. Good luck to you!
What ever circuit that fusible link protected would be dead if the fusible link is blown.
do a 1997 cutlass olds. have fusible link
The fuseable link for the ignition could be on the starter, or running along the firewall. on that year it should have a in-line fusible link near the starter. you can find at any auto parts place.
Where is the fusible link on a 2002 Camry, and how do I change it.
See link below:
Hello, I am fairly sure that there is no fuse as we know the definition of a 'fuse'. However, I know for certain that there is a fusible link wire from the starter solenoid battery terminal up of about 3 inches long. When it burns you lose powere to ignition, ign coil, distributor and others. REPLACE THE FUSIBLE LINK WITH ANOTHER FUSIBLE LINK AND NOT WITH A REGULAR PIECE OF WIRE. **THAT CAN LEAD TO DISASTER** Hope this helps. Israel Delgado
