There is no such thing as a 1998 190E, BTW - It was replaced by the C-class in 1993... On my Mercedes (1984) there is no cap lock, when you lock or unlock the doors, the gas latch (door) is locked or unlocked automatically.
Push in gas cap door it will release
You just push on the gas cap door. There is no remote release.
The lock for the access door for the gas cap is part of the lock system for the doors. If the car doors are locked the fuel door is locked also. Unlock the doors and the fuel door is unlocked also.
Very carefully. Hitler designed all German cars to explode upon opening of gas cap.
It is in the trunk... on the right side you should see a green circle behind the gas cap... pull it out it will release the gas cap..
The 1985 Mercedes 380 SE has a gas door release latch located on the driver's side floor board near the hood release lever. If the gas door release latch is no longer operable, the cable to the door might be broken.
Make sure all the door locks are open. If they are, then just press the left side of the gas cap and it will pop open.
Push the gas cap door in and it will pop open.
There is NO switch or lever for the gas cap cover on a newer SLK280. To open the cover, just "press" on the left-hand side of the cover and it will pop open. To close it, simply swing the cover to the left and press down until it latches.
1st of all the doors need 2 be unlocked then u pull or push the gas door open and just unscrew the cap
Premium. It should say it right near the gas cap on a sticker.
