I went to school in University City Missouri in the early 1960's with a David Arthur who was a son to one of the Arthurs that owned Arthur enterprises (Fox Theater). He had a sister named Maureen but I don't think it was the actress because of her age being younger. Sorry, but that is all the information I have.
General of the Army Douglas MacArthur (26 January 1880 - 5 April 1964) was an American general and field marshal of the Philippine Army. He was a Chief of Staff of the United States Army during the 1930s and played a prominent role in the Pacific theater during World War II. He received the Medal of Honor for his service in the Philippines Campaign. Arthur MacArthur, Jr., and Douglas MacArthur were the first father and son to each be awarded the medal. He was one of only five men ever to rise to the rank of General of the Army in the U.S. Army, and the only man ever to become a field marshal in the Philippine Army. Read more on Wikipedia.

Arthur MacArthur was born in Manila on Feb. 21, 1938. Arthur MacArthur didn't fit into the family's West Point military tradition and graduated from Columbia University in 1961. One report is that he changed his name and became a concert pianist and writer. He is still alive somewhere. In an obituary published several years ago for one of his relatives he is quite clearly listed among the surviving relatives. Some say he might be a Wall Street businessman, and another report he was an artist. Apparently he just wants to live his life quietly.
Yes, MacArthur had a son names Arthur MacArthur IV, born in 1938. He reportedly changed his name and may not be still alive.
