I have an 03 Camry as well...
The cabin filter is located behind the glove box, under the dash and is mounted horizontally.
Open the glove box, remove all the contents and then remove the single Phillips screw on the outer right side of the glove box door. Push this arm slightly to allow the glove box door to hang down.
The filter is then visible behind the glove box door, just above and a little to the left...usually white in color. Pull the small tab in the center to remove this filter.
The replacement filter will just be the "element"...pleated paper, so you will need to reuse the plastic retainer. Follow the "flow direction" arrows when replacing the element....slide the filter back in and re-do the glove box door ...you're done
