The heater control valve is immediately left of the radiator. Looking down into the engine compartment, you will see a part that has 3 hoses running into it with two grey cylinders on the top. That's the heater control valve.
At first it looks like it may be tough to reach, but I had mine replaced in under an hour. The worst part, by far, is releasing the hose clamps.
