Throttle position sensor. This is on the throttle body.
Reprogram?? I don't know if you can reprogram the idle but there is a idle adjustment screw on my 91 right under the intake.... Try adjusting thatu might need a idle air control valueAnswerThere is no fast idle speed screw on a fuel injected motor. Check the Idle Air Control valve, the Throttle Position Sensor, and the Mass Airflow sensor before you go digging around with the ECM. first 91 has a 5.0 92 has a 4.6 there is a stop screw that can be adjusted but i don not recommend it i would try the above
If it's "hunting" for idle, it could either be your TPS (throttle body position sensor) has gone bad or in my case...bad fuel pump with intermitten fuel pressure.
The engine computer is not getting a road speed sensor reading.
Idle air control valve sensor is located around the carburetor .
There is no idle sensor. Idle speed is computer controlled and is not adjustable.
There is no such part as an idle sensor. Idle speed is a computer output that involves dozens of inputs.
The knock sensor is a passive device that has no effect on engine idle.
Idle air control valve sensor is located around the carburetor .
The idle speed is read by the Engine Control Module(computer) and adjusted as necessary by use of the idle air control in conjunction with the throttle position sensor. There is no separate idle sensor as such.
Where is the temp sensor on a 91 Chevy astro
