China, Australia, and Brazil are the world's largest providers providers of iron ore, but more than forty other countries, including the US and Canada, produce significant amounts. The Michigan and Minnesota regions provide most of the US production of iron ore. Iron compounds are fourth in abundance among all the elements in Earth's crust. It is the second most abundant of all metals; aluminum is the only metal that is more abundant than iron. The oldest known iron artifacts, made about 6,000 years ago, have been found in Egypt.
Iron is the most abundant element on Earth and found on many parts of the planet but only the fourth most abundant element in the Earth's crust. Large deposits are found on all continents.
The largest open pit iron ore mine in the world is Hull-Rust-Mahoning Mine- near Hibbing, Minnesota.
Iron is a chemical element. Iron makes up about 5 percent of the Earth's crust, as well as in the inner core.

I know I'm like 10 years late but the first country to be discovered is believed to be san Marino, which is also one of the worlds smallest country.
The discovery of Carbon is prehistoric. You can find it in campfires.
Iron has been known since prehistoric times. Wrought iron objects have been found in Egypt and dated at 3600 BC. Because it was discovered so long ago, we are unsure about how it was first discovered.
The first known magnets were naturally-occuring magnetic rocks called lodestones. Lodestone is composed of magnetite, an easily-magnetized solid mixture of Iron (II) oxide and Iron (III) oxide. Lodestone's magnetism is induced by the planetary magnetic field generated by the Earth's core. It was soon discovered that pieces of iron metal could be magnetized by stroking them with a lodestone.
the first thing discovered was life and all it's creations
Iron ore reserves were discovered first by Lang Hancock. In Pilbara iron ore reserves are Plant, BC Iron, and Brockman.
Iron is known from the antiquity - 6 000 years ago or more.
When the first human discovered a falling star.

Elements aren't invented; they have always been around - somebody just had to discover each one of them. Sorry, I don't know who discovered iron, but since it was being used as early as the Iron Age, I don't suppose anybody knows exactly who discovered it.
it was discovered before written history
Probably either copper or iron.
Ores of iron were dug up and smelted in prehistoric times. Evidence clearly estabilishes the first know working of iron from ore in India in the second millennium BC. As such, the discovery of iron and iron ores cannot be attributed to any given individual or specific time.
