There is a jump start terminal under hood with a red plastic cap on it. Ground can go on bolt right next to it.
To jump start an engine via the battery; the remote battery and the host battery, being of the same voltage, should be connected in parallel. That is positive terminal to positive terminal, negative to negative.
the batteries are mounted on the right hand side of the frame behind the passanger door there is a jump start terminal behind the second battery you will need a floor jack to change the batteries as you have to drop the batterie boxs down off of the frame to get at them
sure connect the positive terminal directly to the booster battery and the negative battery terminal to the body
Under the hood there are positive and negative jump start posts that are clearly labeled.
IN MOST CASES THE POSITIVE TERMINAL IS REDS AND THE NEGETIVE TERMINAL but yall didn't hear that from me okkk!!
I think the negative terminal is under the fuse box to the left; you can barely get to it. However to jump from or to the Silhouette, you don't need the negative terminal. To jump the Silhouette, just attach the negative cable to metal, preferably of the engine block. To jump from the Silhouette, attach the negative cable to the large bolt about 10 inches to the right of the battery.
With this symptom, if you tried to jump start the car it would start. The answer was a corroded Black/Cable going to the Negative terminal of the Battery.
You can pull out the metal key that won't work in the trunk and then jump start the car from the battery.
Most GM vehicles use side terminal batteries. To jump start one, you connect the + cable to the + side post, and the -Neg to the engine.
Ya, lift the hood. On the drivers side towards the rear there is a terminal to jump start the car since the battery is located on the drivers side rear and is a pain to get to.
