Go to the minecraft folder in your files, press saves, and drag the map into the saves folder.
Open the start menu and type in %APPDATA% then open the .minecraft folder next go into the saves folder then drop your folder that contains the map in it within the saves Run Minecraft and check if the level name comes up if it does play it if not make sure the map is in a regular folder, not a zip or rar make sure that the level data is not in a sub-folder of the map folder
Download it. Extract it with a .zip opener. Then, go to your Minecraft saves folder (PC: %appdata% MAC: ~Library) and drag it in the "saves" folder. Make sure the world folder you downloaded contains a few things such as: level.dat and a data folder. That means it is the world folder, not the folder that you unzipped which includes the world folder. You should have the map in your single player worlds.

Either go into the single player menu in Minecraft and select which one you want or add the map/world into your "saves" folder. If you want to add maps to your Multiplayer then just put the map into the folder your server app is in then add the name of the map into the "server.properties" folder for the game to see it.
Easy. Make sure the folder you want to map is shared. Then go into your My Network Places. Find the computer in the list that's sharing the resource you want to map a network drive to. Double-click on it and find the folder to map. Right-click it and and select Map Network Drive. Then configure your options as you see fit, such as the drive letter.
first download minecraft go to run and type in then click on .minecraft go into saves and place the folder of the adv map into the saves folder. Have fun!
ok well first you download the map you like Go to the downloads folder and with your map right click and choose 'cut' go to the maps folder in halo ce and paste go INTO the map and copy the nameofmap.map into the maps folder. GO PLAY HALO!
Download a map and add it to your "maps" folder within your "cstrike" directory.
This is a custom map created by another user. To get the map for the Temple of Notch, look it up on Google or Youtube and find the link to the Minecraft Forums site, where the map is located. After downloading the map, go to your start menu and type in %appdata% into the search/run bar. After clicking enter, go into .minecraft and then into the folder titled Saves. Next, go to your Downloads folder in a different window and drag the map file into your Saves folder. After doing this, it should show up on Singleplayer maps! It is also possible that you may need to open the .rar file and take out a folder to use. To do this, you would need a program such as WinRAR or 7zip. After opening the map file, drag the folder into your Saves folder under .minecraft. It works pretty much the same way.
Put the map in the \maps folder and add the map to the mapcycle.txt.
Of course you can. Minecraft has a folder with worlds in it in Application Support, so just put the map in.
