The oil filter for a 98 Olds Regency is on the side of the engine. The filter is a screw on type.
There are 4, one before and one after each catalytic converter in the exhaust.
An ST3506 oil filter fits various GM and Chrysler vehicles, for example 75-98 and 2004-on Buick; 83-86 AMC/Jeep; 2003-on GMC Trucks; 2003-on Hummer.
Find the high side facing up, low side is to front 6" and facing forward hidden by the handle of the oil check dipstick.
