.54 Gap
The power of the engine of the ford escort 4cyl 1969 is 54 hp
Check the Vehicle Emission Control Information ( VECI ) decal located in the front of your engine compartment ( it will show the type of spark plugs to use and the spark plug gap )
The gap is .54"
No, propane does not require a smaller spark plug gap. The spark plug gap should be set based on the manufacturer's recommendations for the specific engine, regardless of the fuel being used. It is important to follow the spark plug gap specified for the engine to ensure proper combustion and performance.

Fuse number 54
On a 2004 Ford F-150 , 5.4 L V8 engine : The engine cylinder locations are numbered : firewall 4 - 8 3 - 7 2 - 6 1 - 5 front of vehicle > driver
this depends on the spark plug you use. If you use autolite spark plugs you will need to gap them to 54 thousandths.
The spark plug is located on the top of the engine. I have not yet found out how to really get to it since it is in there at such an odd angle but, it is there.
Per my ford dealer service dept. .54 is best overall gap.
