Th ambient air temp sensor tells the car what the temp is and regulates the climate control to keep you cool or warm.If it goes out and it can read the out side temp as 30 below and not allow your air to even work. I just replaced mine on a 2003 bravada it was very easy to replace and the sensor was like 4 bucks
Probably a faulty temp blend door actuator.
The temperature sensor on a 93 Olds Cutlass Cierra 3.3 is located on the back of the engine. It is on the intake manifold.

The sensor is located in the sensor assembly. It is inside of the transmission, the pan will have to be dropped to gain access.

The TFT sensor ( Transmission Fluid Temp ) in inside the trans pan. small black sensor in the corner by the dip stick.
THE temp sending unit 4 the inside gauge usally has 1 wire & the sending unit 4 the Computer has 2 wires.
never mind, I found it. It is located on the left side of the engine, behind the left middle header. you need to remove the air intake to get to it.
