the original paint code is in the VIN. call a dealer and they can tell you how to read the vin
on the fire wall under the hood.
Paint code can be found on a tag on the car or the VIN can be used to figure paint code number. Year of the car and model sometimes dealers can help.
on the driver door jam plaque or call a dealer and have them run your vin the inquiry shows your paint code
Open the driver's door and on the door panel, there is a plaque with tire information, your vehicle VIN number and also the paint code.
From what I understand the OEM "VIN" does not include any paint code info.

In the drivers door jamb there is a sticker that will have the VIN paint code and other info. It will be a three character code probably LS5.
The paint code is on the underside of the spare tire cover, in the truck. It is on a service code tag with the VIN number and a slew of other body codes for the car.
the best way to get the paint code is to call a Chevrolet dealer ask them and give them your vin number.
VIN, means vehicle identification number this will give you make, model,year,month of production,engine, diff, transmission model.and where it was manufactured.also some will have paint code in vin
