On a 2001 GMC Savana 5.7 V8. There is no drain plug. You actually have to remove the big hose that joins the engine to the radiator. This will drain out all the fluids.
The 2004 GMC radiator drain is located on the bottom of the radiator. The radiator drain plug can be removed with a half inch ratchet.
The only way to drain all the coolant is to unhook the bottom radiator hose. The radiator does NOT have a drain vale.

there isn't a radiator drain plug. you have to remove the lower radiator hose from the radiator to do a drain and fill.
There is no drain plug, remove the lower radiator hose to drain coolant.

You will find that it is located on the bottom of the radiator. If you do not find a drain Petcock on the bottom of the radiator you must remove the lower radiator hose in order to drain the radiator.
There is no plug for the radiator, you have to take out the lower hose from under the car and let the radiator drain.

Open the petcock at the bottom of the radiator and drain into a pan. If there is not a petcock, then remove one end of the 94 GMC Sierras bottom radiator hose to drain the system. The coolant is toxic to animals so dispose of properly.
Look either at the bottom of radiator or on the rear of the radiator bottom
