The location will more than likely depend on the model of Saturn
On the 4 cylinder Saturn, follow the top radiator hose back to the engine. Note that there is a housing that is bolted to the engine to which the radiator hose is connected. Remove the radiator hose first, then remove the housing. On the 4 cylinder Saturn's, the thermostat is a part of that housing.
Probably on the engine end of the upper radiator hose Probably on the engine end of the upper radiator hose
How do I remove the screw/bolt holding the AC unit lines to the radiator on the driver side.
It is located at the lower radiator hose where it connects with the block.
The thermostat is usually located on the lower hose, where it attaches to the radiator
A 1994 Saturn SC may not even have a radiator drainplug. In order to find out if the 94 Saturn does have a radiator drainplug, a person can take off the lower hose to see, or look in the car's manuel.
Should be in a removable housing at the engine end of the upper radiator hose
Look for a removable housing at the engine end of the upper radiator hose you will have to drain the radiator fluid first because the thermostat is fairly low Follow the lower radiator hose on the passenger side to the engine its in a housing so you have to remove the radiator hose then the thermostat cover with the 2 bolts
The plastic tank on the side of the radiator can be replaced but it would be quicker and cheaper to just install a new radiator.
Follow the top radiator hose to the engine, what that mounts to is the thermostat housing, remove this and there is your thermostat. * ** *** **** ***** Actually, on my 1997 SL2, the thermostat is on the bottom radiator hose. I would check the "Saturn Thermostat Pictures" link below, which also has installation and removal instructions.
You have the hose from the engine (bottom) that goes into your radiator, and one from the radiator to the motor. The sensor is where the second hose plugs into the motor. Be careful when you loosen and torque the bolts, they're fragile.
It will be on the very bottom of the radiator either the left or right side. If you do not see a drain plug it might not have one. If it does not have one it requires you to remove the lower radiator hose to drain the radiator.
