there is an air inlet under the hood up next to the fire wall on the passenger side for the heater / air cond. Down inside the cowl is a gasket for the inlet to keep water from running down into the blower housing this gasket is very thin foam rubber probably wasnt much when it was new but when it and the caulking break down it leaks into the cabin area it could be something else but ive seen this in a couiple town cars
If there is no heat coming out of the vents, but there is air coming out on a 2003 Mercedes Benz E-320, check the thermostat to make sure it is not sticking. If this is okay, check the heater core. If the heater core is bad, there will be water on the passenger side floorboard.
Your air conditioner is working properly but, there is probably an easily cleared clog in the rubber release tube ...an inexpensive repair.
I had the same thing happen on my '87. It started after the windshield was replaced & something wasn't done right there that let water in at the bottom of it.
it could be a hole in the floorboard. or it could br coming through the seals around the dome light and coming down the paneling The problem is the AC vent opening has weather stripping that rots and crumbles when it gets old. Lift the hood, look on the passenger side near the windshield and you will see a plastic pan with drainage holes. Check here at this link for photos and details about the simple repair. Its fairly easy and can be done with household type stripping and silicone caulk. http://www.lincolnsonline.com/tech/00117.html
It could possibly be the heater core Check your heatting and a/c
I BELIEVE THE WATER COULD BE COMING FROM YOUR AIR CONDITIONING .
First you have to find where the water is coming in. Have a friend use a water hose around the windshield, cowling, etc. while you check inside for leaks. Water could be coming through the firewall around gaskets as well. Be careful to not soak any electrical components if squirting water under the hood. After finding the leak then you can decide the best course of action to stop it.
common fault on corsa combo, it the passenger door seal fella.
If you have water entering the passenger compartment, especially on the passenger side front floorboard, the A/C condensation drip tube is possibly plugged with road tar. Running the A/C produces moisture that has to go somewhere, and when it cannot, it backs up into the passenger compartment. One symptom is foggy windows and a swampy damp smell inside the car. Next time you get an oil change, walk out to the guy doing the work and ask if he'll check the condensation tube. If he says yes, make sure you slip the guy a few bucks.Good Luck : )
Check the AC condensate drain, it's probably plugged.
I have a 2005 Pacifica, I would assume these are in the same place. Look behind the engine at the "fire wall" on the passenger side. There should be a black rubber tube, about a 1/2 inch in diameter coming through the wall. It is toward the bottom. Mine was stopped up and water was trickling into the passenger floorboard. I took a small wire and was able to unclog it. Also, if you have some tubing and an air hose, that might work too. With engine cool, I was able to reach it with my hand. Hope this helps.
Water in the passenger footwell of a classic Subaru Impreza STI can often come from a few sources. Common culprits include clogged or damaged drainage channels, especially around the windshield, or a malfunctioning heater core that may be leaking coolant. Additionally, worn or improperly sealed door and window weather stripping can allow rainwater to seep inside. Inspecting these areas can help identify and resolve the issue.
