how do i reset the sensor on the instrument cluster on a 1984 corvett?
Depends on the model year. Basically, navigate the window display to the service indicator notice. Press and hold the "R" button (on the left side of the instrument cluster) When the window acknowledges that you wish to reset the service interval it will ask you for one push of the "R" button. Push the "R" button once and you should be reset.
Turn the key to position 2. Scroll to service "b" using the up or down arrow button on the steering wheel. Then press and hold the odometer reset button on the lefthand side of the instrument cluster. The screen will then change and say press button for 3 seconds to reset. At that time release and then press and hold the button for 3 seconds. It will then reset to 10,000 miles.
Turn on the key and scroll though the menu on the instrument cluster using the arrow buttons. When the run flat indicator message comes up, push the reset button. Once you do that, it will ask you to confirm the reset.
this should of been done by your dealer if you still under the maintence program. however if you do it yourself its fairly easy. first turn the car on and the key to position two, then hold down the trip button in your instrument cluster down, hold it until a little red microfilter symbol appears in the middle of you cluster, let go of the button and press and hold it again. then a reset will appear in the cluster. let go and push the button again. this should reset it. check in your service data through the i drive and verify it did reset. turn off the car and your done.
