It may be a button to push or a screw to take out of one place on the back of the instrument cluster and screw it into another place on the back of the instrument cluster. Izuzu was real big on doing that back in the day.
If the oil light comes on but the oil level is ok, the problem may be a faulty sending unit, as it turned out in my case.

is your "NO CHARGE" warning light coming on? if not this could simply be the problem, on some vehicles the charging circuit incorperates the "NO CHARGE" bulb and if its blown the vehicle wont charge. COuld be an alternator problem ( worn bushes etc) or faulty earth lead from alternator.
