Where is silty soil found in India and uses?
Silty soil can be found all over India. The silty soil is great for drainage and is used for various things such as gardening.
Laterite soil is rich in Iron & Alumunium . It is found on mountaneous region of south India in Kerala , Tamilnadu & Karnataka . Heavy rains wash away soluble salts of Sodium , Magnesium , Calcium etc leaving behind insoluble salts of Iron & Alumunium . Laterite soil is good for TEA,COFFEE,COCONUT & CASHEW NUT.
Answer Loam- Soil composed of sand, silt, and clay in relatively even concentration (about 40-40-20% concentration respectively), considered ideal for gardening and agricultural uses. Loam soils generally contain more nutrients and humus than sandy soils, have better infiltration and drainage than silty soils, and are easier to till than clay soils.
