"Spermatogenesis is the process by which male spermatogonia develop into mature spermatozoa. Spermatozoa are the mature male gametes in many sexually reproducing organisms. Thus, spermatogenesis is the male version of gametogenesis. In mammals it occurs in the male testes and epididymis in a stepwise fashion, and for humans takes approximately 64 days.[1] Spermatogenesis is highly dependent upon optimal conditions for the process to occur correctly, and is essential for sexual reproduction. It starts at puberty and usually continues uninterrupted until death, although a slight decrease can be discerned in the quantity of produced sperm with increase in age. The entire process can be broken up into several distinct stages, each corresponding to a particular type of cell:
Cell type | ploidy/chromosomes | chromatids | Process
spermatogonium (types Ad, Ap and B) | diploid/46 | 2N | spermatocytogenesis (mitosis)
primary spermatocyte | diploid/46 | 4N | spermatidogenesis (meiosis 1)
secondary spermatocyte | haploid/23 | 2N | spermatidogenesis (meiosis 2)
spermatid | haploid/23 | 1N | spermiogenesis
sperm | haploid/23 | 1N | spermiation"

The average bull has around 1.2 billion spermatozoa per mL of semen ejaculated.
Sperm cells forms the two interrelated processor. The initial steps before the cell specialized into spermatozoa are mitosis and meiosis. Overall the process is known as spermatogenesis.
Yes it is. The Ovum combines with one Spermatozoa to first form a Zygote; this develops into the multi-Celled Blastocyte which quickly develops into an Embryo.
seminiferous tubules
Spermatozoa are manufactured in the seminiferous tubules, located in the testes. Spermatozoa are the mature motile male sex cell of an animal, by which the ovum is fertilized, typically having a compact head and one or more long flagella for swimming.

Male gametes or sperms are known as spermatozoa...
Spermatozoa (sperm) are formed in the testes and mature in the epididymis.
store spermatozoa, transport spermatozoa during ejaculation.
Spermatozoa are the actual sperm cells that carry the male chromosome. Seminal fluid is the fluid the male body creates to transport and nourish the spermatozoa.
