A hole that develops in the lining of the stomach is called an ulcer. There are several types, named for their location and the depth of the ulcer.
Gastritis is the inflammation of the stomach. The antrum is the lower half of the stomach. It is also the part that secrete most of the stomach acid. Antral gastritis is the inflammation of the antrum.
It is the organ right beneath the liver, above the stomach. Slightly longer than the stomach.
The epigastric (above stomach) region contains the majority of the stomach, part of the liver, part of the pancreas, part of the duodenum, part of the spleen, and the adrenal glands
