It is called a thermostat and it is near the top behind the timing belt
throttle sensor for a 92 pontiac transport
I have a 92 Buick Riviera 3800. The temp sensor on my car is just underneath the throttle body... driver's side of the engine
Didn't have an air temp sensor in 92. Came out in 93.
next to the thermostat housing.
Next to the thermostat housing.
The temp sensor on the sc300 is at the front of the engine. It is mounted near the water pump and timing chain housing.
The 1992 Chevy 3500 temperature sensor is located on the front of the engine. The temperature sensor will be in the vicinity of the thermostat housing.
Mine is a '92 and the sensor is screwed into the back of the radiator on the passenger side about halfway down.
Check the temp sensor. The control is not turning on the fan when engine temp requires it, so the most common cause is the sensor.
with my 92 corvette the temp while driving is usually between 198 and 207.---but when stopped the temp goes up to 228 then the electric fan should kick on. i researched the same stuff--- some say of a way to convert the temp sensor to kick the fan on at a cooler temp---don't know---peace
Low voltage (high vacuum) at mass air flow sensor (or MAP sensor).
The fan is probably controlled by the temp gauge sensor that doesn't work. Check the harness for the temp sensor to see if it's getting the right voltage. Then check the temp sensor (probably a thermistor) for the proper resistance at various temperatures.WRONGThere is NO 92 Ford Escape.
