General Motors products do not use inertia/reset switches
The 1987 Cadillac fuel pump relay switch is located in the fuse box. The fuel pump relay switch will be at the top of the third column.

the ignition switch is bad. you have to replace the ignition switch and you will have to have a new key made with it. i just replaced it in my 1992 seville. that will solve your problem.

i have a 1990 Cadillac Seville and my trunk has hydraulics on it. I just have to shut it until its almost closed and then it does the rest on its own. but you shouldn't have to slam it down or anything If it does not pull down you need to replace the pull down switch.
