There isn't a 'Now Playing' tab in Windows Movie Maker. Simply click on the > button under the preview pane to play the movie. Only one project at a time can be played in Movie Maker. Are you perhaps talking about Windows Media Player?

You can't do that with any version of Windows Movie Maker, especially Windows Live Movie Maker which is a stripped-down version of 2.6. Unfortunately, all editing must be done individually. There are no batching features in this program at all. Sorry.
