My 91 Mazda 626 started doing that and we had to two foot it. It wasn't long after and the reverse went out in the transmission. We enventually lost all gears and had to replace transmission, got one out of a pull apart place for 65 and had it installed for 250. Was cheaper than having it rebuilt but it only lasted a year and went out again.
If you dont know whear it is, then quit smocking CRACK. & look on the left side of youre battory.
