I have 1997 Nissan Maxima. You ned to replace the entire hub assembly. My problem is that they discontinued the 1997 hub assembly and the suggested replacement part's ABS ring is 4MM taller therefore the ABS sensor cannot clear the ABS ring. Any ideas on this one?
NOT LIKELY.....BUT CALL YOU LOCAL NISSAN DEALER GIVE THEM THE LAST 8 DIGITS OF YOUR VIN AND THE CAN TELL YOU ALMOST ANYTHING ABOUT YOUR CAR.............. BUDDY MACK.
No such switch.No such switch.
The ABS relay is in the relay box under the hood.
i had the same problem with my 1999 Nissan maxima and i needed a new alternator so get that checked first turn your car on and disconnect the positive on your battery, if the car shuts down your alternator is bad
On the each wheel adjacent to the brake caliper
Pull the ABS fuse located in the under hood fuse box. Pull the ABS fuse located in the under hood fuse box.
On the inside of the frame in front of the rear passenger wheel.
The abs works electrically. There should be sensors at each wheel, and a fuse just for the abs system. Check the fuse first.
