The 2005 Chevrolet water coolant thermostats, is located on the front of the engine, near the bottom. You can follow the water supply hose from the radiator to the thermostat.

A 2004 Chevy Avalanche does not have a radiator drain. The front of the vehicle needs to be raised, then the bottom radiator hose disconnected to drain into a pan.
There is a drain on the lower right of the rad. If you can't get to it, pull the lower hose.
i just disconnected the lower hose
Disconnect the lower coolant hose.
There is no drain plug, you have to remove the bottom hose.
You have to remove the filler neck and hose from the tank then slip a siphon hose into the tank.
You have the drain the lower radiator hose, 6.0 liter do not have a drain valve.
Just the drain tube "yes" but not the nipple that it goes to.............
There is a drain plug just below the lower radiator hose. u must be mistaken there is no drain plug try taking lower radiator hose off!
