There isn't one on these vehicles and they are not available from the factory. I've heard of them being available for the diesel engines but they are expensive and hard to find since they where never imported into the US. Ebay maybe? Good luck.

It's the yellow stick protruding from the engine, when facing the engine (in my 535i anyways) the dipstick is on the right side of the block, about half way back.
Looking at the engine, all the way to the back of the block, on the left side. Right behind the air filter. It should be a black cap. That's where it is on my 88' 535i

Currently, no. The current 535i model has a 3.0 liter, straight six engine that comes with BMW's Twin-power Turbo. However, it appears that the 1996 - 2003 535i model had a V8 engine, but I am not sure if it was offered in the US.
