Locate your brake pedal. Follow the arm of the brake pedal upwards and behind the lower part of the dash. You will see the unit secured between a bracket under the dash and the arm of the brake pedal. To help understand the location a little more it helps to understand how it works:
When the brake pedal is released, the arm of the brake presses the white button on the brake light switch causing the brake lights to turn off and vise versa.
To remove:
Slightly twist the brake light switch counter clockwise approximately a quarter of a turn. You will feel the tension release and with a little "play" you can pull it out toward the cab of the vehicle. Disconnect the connector by lifting up on the tab located on the side of the connector end and pull apart.
