in the boot
If you have a V8 engine which I do, mine is in the trunk.
help please
The CD changer is in the trunk on the right side.
YES....All the Jaguar factory installed CD changers are compatable. They are made by Alpine but are labeled as Jaguar. So...if you need that little cable with the proprietary socket that might be missing from the replacement changer you can buy it at www.crutchfields.com (or any other auto audio store) rather than a Jag dealer. and save about $60.00. : the later Jaguars use a Ford type fitting for the CD Changers so on a 1999 V8 3.2 the CD changer is not a Din type , its the ford square plug type :

Some come equipped with a CD changer that is located in the glove box... Mine however has a cassette player... lol...
I have a 51 reg jaguar x type 2.5 saloon ,and iI want to install a CD auto changer in the boot, can anyone tell me what is involed in installing it yourself, and how is it secured in the boot-------thanks Dennis
This depends on the type of CD Changer and the specific brand of CD player. Some might be compatible while others may not be. anonymous@oola.com
Pioneer CDX P680 CD changer is a good simple car CD changer.
The CD changer is in the trunk.
Remove the retaining cover from the front of the CD changer. Remove the CD changer retaining screws. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the CD changer.
