It bolts to the rear of the passenger side cylinder head. You have to look down and behind the engine to see it.
most likely cause is a plugged exhaust, possibly the cat converter
A 1997 Jeep does not have EGR
A 1997 5.2L doesn't have EGR.
A 1997 Ram does not have EGR
The 2002 Grand Vitara EGR valve is located on top of the engine. The EGR valve will be between the engine and the battery.
Pretty sure the 97 Honda CRV doesn't have an EGR valve. I have a service manual for the 97 and it's nowhere to be found. I think some Civics didn't have one either.
It is inside the trans, on top of the valve body.
On the Head itself.
After unbolting the EGR valve, clean it with a carburetor spray. Allow it to dry completely before reinstalling the valve.
7.3L does not have EGR Valve.
