The 2001 Ford E GR valve position sensor is attached to the firewall, in the engine compartment. The sensor will be on the drivers side of the engine compartment.
The EGR position sensor is located on top of the EGR valve. Has an electrical connector attached.
On the firewall next to the EGR vsv.
If you can find the EGR valve you'll see a wire connector/plug on top of it...that's where it is. It can be replaced by unplugging the wire connector and removing the small screws that fasten it to the EGR valve It is usually called an EVP (EGR Valve Position) sensor.
I have a 93 4.0 and it has no EGR valve. My neighbor who is a ford mech. says some don't have EGR's and some have only one O2 sensor.
The EGR sensor is part of the EGR valve on the rear pass side of the engine. The EGR sensor is part of the EGR valve on the rear pass side of the engine.
The egr position sensor is part of the valve. It does not have a flow sensor.
the egr valve is on the top front of the block and is easy accesable by your do it your self mechanic and the sensor is about 5 inches behind it
the egr flow sensor is internal to the egr valve very common problem egr valve needs to be replaced
exhaust gas recirculation sensorIt is a sensor that is mounted to the EGR valve. It moniters the position of the EGR valve and sends that info to the ECM.
The PCM controls the EGR valve, so the EGR position sensor tells the PCM what position the EGR valve is in, so it can control the EGR valve and ake other necessary adjustments.
EGR sensor ( gas temperature sensor ) is monted near the EGR valve, which is install into the EGR tube.
It is on the EGR valve.
