The input speed sensor is the two wire sensor on the front of the transmission case closest to the engine.
The input and output speed sensors are located on the front of the trans. They have two wires and the input sensor is closer to the engine.
the input speed sensor is on top of the transaxle, about six inches from the engine, and directly in line with the engine. there is a technical service bulletin from Hyundai (#05-40-011 [aug. '05]) about input speed sensor problems, including dtc (diagnostic trouble code) p0715. trouble with the input speed sensor will make for some funky shifting, so if the engine revving to about 5000 rpms before the transaxle shifts out of 1st gear makes you smile, then don't replace the sensor. but if you want your car to run well.....wait, all you asked was where the speed sensor was, so....the input speed sensor is on top of the transaxle, about six inches from the engine, and directly in line with the engine.the engine speed up car goes faster but never shifts

It is a sensor on the transmission that reads the rotational speed of the input shaft. It is a sensor on the transmission that reads the rotational speed of the input shaft.
Input/Turbine speed sensor malfunction
It does not use an input speed sensor.
There isn't an input speed sensor.
Turbine input speed sensor
A 1998 Ram does not have an input speed sensor.
A 1998 Jeep with a 5.2L does not have an input speed sensor.
The input and output speed sensors are on the front of the transmission case. Both are two wire sensors. The input is closer to the engine.
