The spare tire is found underneath the cargo area, on the outside bottom of the vehicle. The tire is mounted to the bottom with a cable.
Inside, lift the carpet/mat to see a gray plastic cover about 3x4 inches in size. Under that is a large nut, the same size as the lug nuts - which means you can use the tire-iron to loosen it.
Loosen that nut to lower the spare tire to the ground, and then keep turning it to 'play-out' extra cable so you can pull the wheel out from underneath the van.
There should be a plastic cover in the middle of the floor in the rear. Lift up cover, and take factory supplied wrench included with your jack. Install factory supplied end of wrench with a hex on it, onto the hex headed bolt located inside a well underneath the plastic cover, and rotate bolt in a counter clockwise direction, to lower spare tire. You will have to force the t looking fastener out of the tire.
# Check the spare tire pressure every 6 months # Periodically lower the spare down to ensure it hasn't stuck itself to the bottom of the van - don't want to find that out on the side of the expressway without a long pry bar to break it loose # Grease the cable and lubricate the 'winch' ---- The tire pressure should be the same as for all the other tires - likely around 35 lbs USE THE LUG NUT WRENCH AND THERE IS A LIL FLAP IN THE BACK OF THE VAN YOU LIFT UP THEN TWIST IT WITH THE WRENCH TILL THE TIRE RESTS ON THE GROUND There should be a three piece jack handle set that came with the vehicle. The square end of the the long peice about thirty inches is to be put into a hole next to the license plate. then the lug-wrench has a square notch in it that is used to turn the pole. Turn it counter clockwise t lower the tire and clockwise to raise the tire. after the tire is lowered to the ground you must take the end of the cable and turn it ninety degrees to make it fit through the rim. jody goodyear tire and rubber company
