It is on the right side of the steering column, it will be a black box around 2.5 to 3 in wide, 4 inches long and around 3/4 tall. the actual module comes out if you want to inspect it there is a clip on one end that you can lift then using a pair of needle nose pliers you can reach in and pull it out, just use the pliers on the first half inch of the board.
The Hot Fuel Module runs the fuel pump for seven to eleven seconds when the fuel is hot, flushing cool fuel into the fuel system to clear vapor bubbles and improve hot starting.
does 5.7egnine have a fuel presser regulateer on 97 chevy 1500 epress van
I had the same problem in my 94 Chevy diesel z-71 pickup, I finally had it towed and they replaced the injector pump module, not the entire pump. Maybe this will help you, unless your pump is totally fried.
im stuck and I need help
the two most common no start when hot causes are fuel pump in your fuel tank and loss of spark ignition module
Which sending unit? Oil pressure sending unit? Engine temp sending unit? Fuel gauge sending unit?
I would suspect a failing ignition control module.
It needs replaced. I have read some TEC. sheets and Chevy now says to keep the fuel tank at least 1/2 full at all times are the fuel pump will get hot. A bad fuel filter will also cause the pump to get HOT and quit.
In a 91 it is behind (and under) the glove box under the ECM far right single clip holding it in place.. single 3 wire harness goes to it.
Hot at idle, 20-30 psi.
You need to check the ignition coil, It could be getting hot. There is also a pick-up coil inside of the distributor that could be shuting down when it gets hot, that is what the module plugs into on the distributor. If this don't help you then ask your question again.
sounds like the ignition module is failing in the heat.
