Small little almost square sensor that pushes into the top of the intake just behind the IAC and main wiring harness for the injectors. Has a wiring connector to it.

It is mounted inside of the distributor under the rotor button.
I just did this swap. I had to change the knock sensor and the map sensor. Everything else stayed the same. Works perfect and more power now. The injectors and ecm stayed the same.you may find some answers here at the link below.

You shouldn't have to - the knock sensor is supposed to adjust the timing automatically. If the vehicle is mistimed, you might need to replace the knock sensor.

A 5.7 is a 350. Vortec is basically the type of head used.
This is what you will need. Vortec Heads,Intake,distributor,front timing cover,crankshaft sensor and 60 to 66 LB. fuel pump Ect.. If you are talking about putting a vortec engine in a 95 then you will need alot more. Let me know what you are wanting to do and I'll help you.
