You have to specify which engine. On my 1991 pickup with a 2.8 L V6 it's next to the oil filter. It's a 4.3 L V6, 89 S-10 Blazer!! Sorry about that!!
It is on the firewall end of the intake manifold below the distributor
Oil sending unit is under intake manifold, just behind the oil filter on the passenger side (difficult to see-use flashlight). Best option to change : Get everything to do an oil change, removal of the filter makes easier access.Read more: Where_is_the_oil_sending_unit_on_2000_Chevy_S-10_2.2
It's located on the driver side of the motor, right below the oil filter. It is a brass looking thing.
With a 4.3L engine, the oil pressure sending unit is in the back of the engine just to the drivers side of the distributor.
Depends on which motor? On the 4.3 v6 it is next the dist.
A 2002 S10 Blazer doesn't have throttle body injection (tbi).
The fuel pump may be fine but the sending unit may not be. The sending unit is probably the most common cause of fuel gauge failure.

drain and remove the fuel tank. its grouped with the sending unit under the bung hole.
If it has the 4.3 engine, I remove the distributor to gain access to the oil pressure switch.
