That's the Remote Anti-theft Personality module ( what a name ! ) It is used with the remote keyless entry / alarm system
In a 1998 Ford Explorer : The RAP module ( Remote Anti-theft Personality module ) is used with your anti-theft system and your keyless remotes ( each vehicle with keyless entry has it's own factory code )
The remote anti-theft personality module ( what a name ! ) for your keyless entry system is in your jack storage compartment. It is at the front of the compartment.
The remote access module is located under the dash cover on the passenger side at the windshield. This piece easily pops off with a screw driver. This will disconnect the keyless entry system.
To disable the factory alarm system on a Ford Ranger, you would have to disconnect the remote entry module (REM). However, if you do that, the keyless remote and driver's door keypad will no longer work.
A remote keyless system is a system designed to permit or deny access to premises or automobiles. the exact phrase "keyless entry" is solely reserved for the numeric dials or keypads that are located on or near the driver side door.
I have just replaced some batteries in my 2001 ml 320 keyless remote and its not activating my security system. How do I get the remote to work again? Please help!!!
The keyless module is under the dash on the driver side. Do a search for Subaru Keyless Entry System H7110FS300
no you will have to keep your stock secuirty module but get you the remote keyless entry module from a truck that was equiped be sure if you have a 2 door truck get it from a 2 door or etc as the wiring harness will be different you will also need the wiring harness from that same truck you pulled the module from you have to pull the dash an heater core box big job its ALOT easier to get an aftermarket system an install
nopo
The RKE harness (remote keyless entry) is located under the center console. My guess is your looking to program a remote. The wires you jumper to do so are A and G. These are purple and black. -jeff
My anti-theft system was going off and the truck would not start...I was frustrated, but to turn it off you simply have to use your key and unlock your drivers side door. I do not have the remote or the keyless entry code since I purchased the truck used. If it has the keyless entry on the driver's side door, punch in the correct number to unlock the door and the system should be disarmed. Open the tailgate door and in the left panel open the jack panel and inside there is a module with 2 plugs. This is the Keyless module, disconnect the right one and you have it..
