I would search the local auto wrecking yards for a 2004 Neon that has factory air then strip all the necessary parts from the donor car to make yours an ac car.
On a Dodge Neon, the coolant bypass hose is in the engine compartment. It is under the alternator and AC compressor. Both have to be removed before you will see the hose.
The Neon is charged with 134a refrigerant.The amount used and type of oil are important. Take it to a mechanic.
You recover the refrigerant with an AC recovery/recycle machine.
It Has An Orifice Filter & A Filter Dryer, But These Are Not Changed As If You Would An Air Or Oil Filter.
