The 2001 Chevrolet Impala low side service port can be found on the top of the air conditioner compressor. The port will be labeled as the low pressure port.
If the Impala is the same as my 2001 Monte Carlo with a 3.8 L engine, the resivoir is on the pass. side way down low in back of engine compartment. You need a bright light to see it and it is very hard to get at!

check the brake fluid reservoir and add fluid if necessary.
what about the low beam?
It means you may be low on engine oil or need a new oil pressure sensor or worse a new oil pump.

You should be able to reset the low coolant light by the parking light switch 3 times on and off somewhat quickly should do it
look for the port with the black cap on it, it's the low pressure port.
Look right below the radiator cap. It is about 2" square. Look on www.impalahq.com there is a procedure how to remove it.
Should be on the low pressure line, just in front of the accumulator. It'll be capped with a black plastic cap.
The AC low side service port on a 1999 Chevy Astro van is located next to the firewall. It is the port that is closest to the evaporator.
