right hand radiator primary crash sensor not mounted to vehicle properly
You might try locating the ECU which is the electronic control unit which contains crash sensors. The ECU is usually located near the center of a vehicle where it is more protected. The ECU is made up of a PCB printed circuit board with attached diodes, sensors and so forth
under the radiator and cooling fans, right in the middle.
Air Bag code " 42 " - Left Hand Radiator Primary Crash Sensor Feed / Return Circuit Open
The Airbag Crash Sensor Unit is located on the floor behind the radio in the center console.
the front sensor is mounted to the lower radiator support in the middle of the front bumper. You have to look through the lower air dam right below the bumper.
It means the primary crash sensor circuit has had a short to ground, possibly an activated crash sensor due to a crash detected, and then the issue has gone away, in other words, it is intermittant. If there has been no crash then there may be an intermittant issue with that crash sensor, or the crash sensor cicuit wiring. The fault code may be cleared to see if the issue returns. The companion code to a 54 is a code 14. When there is a short that occurs, the lamp should flash a 14 at first, then begin flashing the 54 when the short goes away.
