The air door actuator on a 1998 GMC Jimmy is located in the dash. It is located behind the glove box.
Take out the glove compartment box. Behind it, you will see the cable that moves the blender door. It runs through a white gizmo that has a tab on the top. Pull back on the white tab and move the red cartridge to the right one or two notches and release the white tab to hold the red cartridge in place. This takes up some slack in the cable line and closes the air blender door more tightly, thus moving hotter air through the blender box. I found this adjustment works.
the blend door is operated by vacuum lines located under dash if you press a different vent output and nothing happens check for a vacuum leak located under dash behind glove box
If equipped it will be located behind the glove box door.
