Behind the air filter box,you may have to remove the box.
Buy a kit at Wal-Mart or auto parts store, comes with instructions
It is behind the alternator almost against the firewall.
There are two schrader / port valves to the air conditioning system. One will be a high pressure and the other will be a low pressure. You need a certified mechanic to check and refill the system. You can not simply refill the system.
25 to 40 lbs
I was told by an Air Conditioning Service here in Hobe Sound, Fl that they can until the middle of 2010.
To replace the thermostat on a 1999 Chevrolet Lumina, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery. Drain the coolant from the radiator, then remove the upper radiator hose connected to the thermostat housing. Unbolt the thermostat housing to access the thermostat, replace it with a new one, and reassemble by reversing the steps. Finally, refill the coolant and check for leaks.
To refill the coolant on a 2003 Range Rover, use the filler tower that is located on the heater hose. Open the valve and pour in the coolant. Run the car for a short time, then top off the coolant after any air in the system has had a chance to be pumped out. Close the valve again to complete the job.
To replace the heater core in a 1998 Chevy Lumina, first, disconnect the battery and drain the coolant from the radiator. Remove the dashboard and the center console to access the heater core. Disconnect the heater hoses from the core, unbolt it from the housing, and replace it with the new unit. Reassemble everything in reverse order, refill the coolant, and check for leaks.
through the coolant tank!
I see two low pressure ports and one high pressure port on my 1998 Chevy Lumina sedan. The quick connect high and low pressure ports are both on the driver's side of the engine UNDER the air cleaner. You may have to remove the air filter and move the box around to access them. There is also a low pressure service port on a small diameter tube on the drivers side up high and against the firewall. It looks like a conventional screw-on type connector similar to a tire valve.
There isn't one. You refill the coolant with by putting more dexcool (DO NOT USE THE GREEN STUFF (ethalene glycol) ) in the coolant overflow bottle.
In systems that do not have a radiator cap, the coolant is drained by the radiator drain plug. It is filled by adding coolant to the system through the overflow bottle.
