It is located in the large air tube that goes from the air filter housing to the throttle plate.
That is the air temp in the air inlet for the engine. It let the CDI control module know the incoming air temp.
the intake air temp sensor is in the inlet manifold
It is in the engine cover, which also contains the air filter.
I am not certain if there is another sensor, but the inlet air temp is monitored by the MAF unit.(mass airflow sensor between the air filter and the inlet pipe).
The air inlet temperature sensor on a 2003 Hyundai is found inside the plastic intake of the vehicle. The unit can be seen near the air filter box.
P1193 Inlet Air Temp. Circuit High Test/replace the temp sensor
inlet air temp should be between the throtle and air filter box on the air intake hose coolant temp should be close to were the upper radiator hose connects to engine there maybe 2 coolant sensors one for computer one for radiator cooling .
P1193 Inlet Air Temp. Circuit High Test/replace the temp sensor on the air cleaner assy.
air mass flow sensor is fixed near inlet manifold.
If you lift the hood, remove the air box (disconnecting the inlet air temp and MAF) and look straight down onto the motor you will see the water temp sensor that is the one that controls the cold engine start. The coolant sensor the controls the gauge is inside and you have to remove the engine cowl
intake air temp sensor
Didn't have an air temp sensor in 92. Came out in 93.
