It seems to be located on the top of the transmission. You really need to have a look at a shop manual to understand what's going on there. You can probably see it operate when someone in the car operates the shifter.
I just replaced one yesterday. Its locate on the driver side of the transaxle. You can look down through the engine compartment by the driver side tire and should see it. I found the easiest way to get to it was by removing the driver side tire and looking straight behind the rotor assembly and strut. Its not a hard fix, just a pain to get to it.

The brake light switch is located on the brake pedal bracket. You'll need to remove the trim panel beneath the steering column to get to the switch and the connector. FriPilot

The neutral safety switch is found under the clutch pedal on a Pontiac Sunfire. Crawl under the cars steering column to see and reach the unit.

the blower switch itself is located in the instrument panel. it adjust the speed of the blower. the blower resistor, if that is what you are looking for,is located beside the blower motor under the pass. side of the dash
