where is the expiring date on tender flake lard package
I would say yes... yet you can always look for a best before date. I personally would not be afraid to use it.
As to why, you would have to ask the manufacturer. Lard if stored properly and left unopened has a very long shelf life. It will eventually turn rancid once opened if left long enough.
A best-by date is another term for a best-before date, a date by which it is ideal that a perishable product is used or consumed.
the use by date is that is advised to be eaten by... this does not mean to say that is has to be eaten if it is fine if it going moldy it is rotten so throw it away :)
The best before date on a smoked pork picnic shoulder means that the meat is optimal if you cook and eat it before this date. Once that date passes, the meat can lose its freshness and not be at its best.
Yes Best before only means best before look for a use by date & even then there is a 2/3 safety margin
That will depend how well it has been stored and whether or not the package has been opened. I have used unopened cream cheese 2 weeks beyond the package date.
Is it an expiration date of a best before date? Best before dates have BB next to them usually. If it's a best before date, then it's fne and dandy, but if it's an expiration date then probably not good.
as long as the test has been left in the package it shold be ok but i would get a new one As the above poster said as long as the package you are going to use is not open. On the side of the box and package there is a expiration date. Example: Best before January 15, 2007.
By reading the expired date and you will known
Coconut water can expire and the expiration date is shown on the package. When the water has past the expiration date, it's best to discard.
A lot of foods have a best by date. Usually all of the food in cans, bottles, boxes, and bags have a best by date. Food that doesn't have something protecting over it like fruit and vegetables doesn't have a best by date usually.
