Generally, sailing anywhere near the Pirate Outpost will bring him out. When you have all 5 map pieces and the new island appears, sail past that island and Captain Crawfish will soon attack. You will need the Phoenix Warbird, the Cannoneer and likely the Shipwright to best him in battle.

Fort Ridley is the first place you go on Skullduggery Island. Its impossible to miss it.
Why can't I sink captain crawfish on Skullduggery Island?
Captain Crawfish has a ship with the speed and cannons of a Phoenix Warbird. Attacking him with anything less has very, very little chance to succeed. His ship will repair itself as yours does (with the Shipwright). You will have to pound away at him (you need the Cannoneer) and not let him escape to a port where he can quickly repair his damage. The best place to lure him to fight is well below and left of the Pirate Outpost. He will not follow you far from it. He will not actually sink, but sail away when defeated. He cannot attack again. If you are not sure if you beat him, go to see the governor at Fort Ridley. When Captain Crawfish has been beaten, the governor will give you the directions to the buried treasure on the hidden island.

It is easy to get to Dragon Cove in Poptropica, Skullduggery. It is in the corner of the map. In the top right corner there is a little square that says "Map" and it has like 5 different places that tell you how far apart each place is. Dragon cove is the one in the left top corner. But be careful because Captain Crawfish is out there and he throws bombs at you and cause your ship to sink. GOOD LUCK!

You need the stopwatch, which is in Captain Crawfish's dream. (The red key over the door opens the locked chest on the lower deck.) -- When the door is open the widest, click the Stopwatch to freeze it in place. You have to wait for the watch to recharge between uses.
