Unless it has recently changed there was a walkway around the upper floors. I would go to middle of the walk and face toward the cross. This should give you a good view. It is where I stood. The coliseum is in the middle of a traffic circle so be careful they go every which way in the lanes. I had a fender bender there once. Step lightly and fast.
