Under your hood, directly behind the alternator on the 3.1 models. It will be a black or silver looking thing, with 1-4 wires going to it. It should have some bolts around the casing that come out, and then the wires. than the fan motor, squirel cage, and the rest of the small assembly comes off.
Be careful when trying to separate the motor from the cage. Sometimes they used reversed threading, and sometimes they didnt. If you can, when replacing the assembly, buy a new assembly, with cage. This way you don't have to worry about it.

Remove the wiring harness from the back of the blower motor in your 1993 GMC 1500. Remove the blower motor retaining bolts. If the new blower motor does not have the fan attached to and you will need to remove the fan from the old blower motor. Reverse the process to install the new blower motor.
