Piece of cake to replace! You can probably get your best price of a new resistor on eBay motors, I did. It shipped from South Korea FedEx and I had it in two days (cost me 38.90 with shipping included).
You take your glove box out. Next look just beneath it, you will see your fan unit.
The resistor is attached, plugged into the fan unit. You take the two screws that hold it in place out. Unplug the wire and reverse assemble with the new unit.
If you never did it before, it may take 40minutes. It can take as little as 15 minutes too. The average garage will charge 30min to an hour labor rate.
You just saved yourself $150.xx dollars plus doing it yourself!
